Wave media file

Andre

This is probably simple, however i cannot upload a wav
file into the sound and multimedia property menu. i can
play the file on windows media player.

Do i need to change the properties of the file?

thanks

(File wasn't attached...)
WMP can recognize files even if they have an invalid extension.
It sounds like this isn't really a Wave file, which would cause the behavior
you're seeing.
The system control panel also can't necessarily play all the various codecs,
as it only understands one of three codec interface systems.
