watching WMM on tv

Hi-I have finished my WWM project. I will save it to my Laptop computor (HP
pavilion) & then copy it to a reg. cd-r disc. But, I want to show it to
friends on my tv. Is it possible to have my LT sitting near the TV, and have
it connected to somewhere on the TV so as to show it on the 'big screen'. It
seems logical that it can be done. Do I need those cables that have the
red/wht/yllw ends on it? but what type of 'end' will be on the other part of
the cable that connects to the LT ?
BTW=LT is 1 1/2 yrs old - TV is about 4 yrs old.
Thank you
PS.I want to accomplish this because I doubt my burned CD will play on my
dvd player.I dont have a DVD burner on my LT.

I do that with my HP Pavilion laptop when traveling... plug it into the
hotel room's TV.

The RCA color cables would be the lower video quality... if you can use
S-Video it would be higher level quality... the cables to use depend on what
the computer and TV have for connections.

It's a better way to go than with discs.
