Want to make a DVD.. what format?

do i save the movie as? I currently have a 700 meg file but if i try to
burn it to a DVD i run out space. Someone said I need to use windows movie
maker and save it to a DVD format... what format is this? What would anyone
here reccomend i do to make a 700 meg .wmv file fit to dvd?

What DVD software are you using.... it won't make a difference to the disc
making process if you start with a WMV of 700 meg, a larger DV-AVI file, or
a smaller WMV.... it's all about the length of the movie in time.

The DVD software converts the files into MPEG-2 ones and uses them on the
disc... it's all about the settings when making them, which is controlled by
the DVD software. Movie Maker isn't involved.

well the movie is 1 hour and 21 minuts long. what is my best option to make
it fit? I have nero express 6.6 i believe and mysonic.

Nero Vision Express has an option to adjust the quality of the DVD change
this to a lower setting so that 1hr 21min will fit on the DVD.
