I have this problem. When I go to my desktop my wallpaper dosent fill
the screen,but it leaves
about 1/4 of an inch. I tried and couldn`t drag it over-I even tried
installing a new wallpaper and that didn`t cover the strip either. Can
someone tell me how to remedy this.

Use the buttons on your monitor to adjust the screen display.

It depends what you mean by 1/4" strip. If nothing is in this strip and
it is just black, then you have a problem with your monitor/resolution
settings. However, if there is Desktop in the strip but not wallpaper,
then indicate whether you are using a picture or a small "tile."

If you are using a typical Microsoft "tiled" pattern to fill the screen
but it won't, you have an OS problem although I can't imagine what it
could be. If you are using a picture, then the picture is not large
enough. Either use a larger image or "stretch" it. Look on the
DisplayProperties\Desktop tab for the Position box. Options will be
center, tile, and stretch.

Malke, since I`m inexpierenced in using the buttons on the moniter, I
don`t
want to make the picture worse, so could you give mr some instructions
on
using the moniter buttons? I think what is needed is to move the
picture to the left.

Thanks
James

Every make/model monitor is different so you should read your monitor
manual. If you don't have a manual for your monitor, go to the monitor
mftr.'s website for your specific model monitor and they should have
the manual there.

Right Click the Desktop, where there are no icons.

Click Properties on the menu that appears.

Click the Desktop Tab at the top.

In the Drop down box on the right hand side that is named Position, ensure
that Stretch is selected.

Apply and then OK to close the window.

Picture should now fill the screen correctly

Or set the display properties for wallpaper to "stretch."
