when ever i play a game it will play for a period of time then the game
program will just end and return to desktop with no error screen etc when i
look in the event log it has a warning that has appeared which say

W32time

The time service has not been able to synchronize the system time for 49152
seconds because none of the time providers has been able to provide a usable
time stamp. The system clock is unsynchronized.

how can i rectify this problem

you might want to disable this NT services by using services.msc to stop prompting while playing game, and later enable it after that.
