W32 Blaster worm

Mark,
Go to Symantec, W32.Blaster.Worm Removal Tool. This will
get rid of the worm for you. It will give you the
directions. I had to completely wipe out the hard drive
and rebuild it to cure the problems caused by the worm.

Mike,

They are very simplified instructions you are giving and
this would not work for most people experiencing the
virus. You also don't mention about patching the hole the
virus infects through. There's no point in removing the
virus if you don't fix the hole it came through.

It is also very very unlikely that you will need to wipe
the hard drive to restore your PC back to working order.
The virus can be removed in 5 minutes without any side
effects.
