W2K OS recognizes only 3.4G

I'm running Windows 2000 with 6GB of memory, but system properties only
reports 3.4GB. I've added the /PAE switch and rebooted the server, and still
it only recognizes the 3.4GB. Will Windows ever see all 6GB in the system
properties, or do I just have to trust that Windows is now using the Physical
Address Extension that is enabled?

thanks for your help!

There is a hardware limit on 4 Gb ram. To exceed that limit you must have an
64 bits processor. I also tends to remember that the OS also has to be 64
bit.
