And referring to Microsoft as M$ is derogatory and not appreciated in these
forums.

As much as everyone seems to love to B**ch and Moan about Windows &
Microsoft Corp.,
whenever I pause for a moment and really _think_ about the power,
versatility and capability, & stability of Windows 2k today, I'm really
awestruck... especially when I remember back to before MS-DOS existed and we
were still struggling to make those Commidores and Amigas work...

Having volumes and volumes of software applications available to us for the
choosing...
....and the fact that 99% of us don't think twice about installing the latest
game,
....or neat-little-software-app,
....or cute little browser plug-in
....or sophisticated new hardware, gadget, or pheripheral
....and the fact that we simply expect it to work ... properly... and
generally the first time...
It's really a tribute to how far we've come from the days of booting to an
"A-Prompt" because we couldn't afford a HDD! ...and fancy computers had 2
floppy drives ("...wow, 2 floppies... really?!")

As an "old DOS-man" who refused to use windows until after win98 was
released...
....Honestly... I can't imagine doing without it now.

So, getting back to your comment, Ray, I suppose I should remove "M$" from
my custom .LEX file, huh?

Point Well Taken,
Chris

Yea Win2K is better, But I would not say awesome. It is still full of bugs
and holes. When MS makes a product that does not need patching then I will
say AWESOME!!!!

My first computer, an Epson Apex IIRC, had two 5.25" drives. I thought it
was pretty damn hardcore. :]
