W2K DNS Record Time stamp not updated

W2K DNS Record Time stamp of host record was not be updated, somebody
tell me that the record 's time stamp will be updated automatically
only after aging /scavenging have been enabled. Is that true?

Any poitner are welcome.

I believe any manually entered (A) record or (PTR) record is excluded
from aging and scavenging. Only records entered via DDNS are
aged/scavenged.

How was your record added?

I tested and it i strue that the time stamp will be updae once I have
enable the scavenga for the zone.
