vuescan and Fedora Core 3

Using vuescan on Linux, upgraded to FC 3 recently. In using vuescan on
FC3 the scanned image disappears as soon as the image is scanned - the
preview image disappears also. The image is saved and I can open in gimp
and view, but it would be very helpful if the image was displayed in
vuescan. The image is displayed as the iamge is scanned - it only
disappears when the scan is complete and the image saved.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I've been using Vuescan (currently 8.2.14) for a while now under Fedora
Core 3. I haven't had any problems.

It is possible that some options you have st is doing it. In
particular, look under preferences, advanced settings, option to release
memory. If that is checked, the image in the scan window will
disappear shortly after the scan completes.

Thanks - that was it. Funny - did that option always work like that. It
seems I had "set" that option before without the image "disappearing".

Will have to remember about that option.
