VPN, XPPro->Linksys BEFVP41v2

Trying to VPN from XP-Pro on dialup at home to Linksys
router on
static IP cable modem. Get 800 error. Linksys support
confirms
router config correct. I went through Linksys pub to
configure
IPSec (create SecPolicy) then created new connection in
Network
Connections. Still no joy. Any hints?
BTW, VPN did work at same locations XPPro->XPPro prior to
installing
router, additional computers at that site. Now want to
connect to
router, access whole network--not pass-through router to
gateway on
XP-Pro.
