VPN through linksys router

R

I am trying to access my work computer, running XP PRO, from my home
computer, running XP Home. My work computer is connected to the internet via
a wired connection on a linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router that has a
broadband internet connection, cable modem. My home computer is connected to
the internet directly via a broadband connection, cable modem. I set up the
wireless router with a linksys tech to accept the VPN. He tested it and I
saw that he was able to get into my work computer. I cannot get into my work
computer from home. I keep getting error message 800 Unable to establish the
VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable, or security parameters
may not be configured properly. I tried to change the settings but no luck.
I know the port number that was left open on the router but I do not see
anywhere on my home pc to put it. I know it is something stupid I am over
looking. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi -

Do you know if there's a firewall at work preventing
access? Has the VPN connection been configured on your
work PC? These might be a couple of things worth looking
at.

Hope this helps -
