vpn hangs on username/password verification.

When connected to my network at work, i try to connect to a VPN and get the
721 error. I can disconnect from the network and attach to a wireless
network and connect to the VPN with no problem. I have tried to connect to
two different VPN's (both are MS SBS2K3) and have had the same result. I
looked at the router at work and there does not seem to be anything blocked.

If someone knows what might be happening or point me in the right direction
I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
