VPN - dead conections

Hi!

VPN - through demand dial interface set as persistent conection. This
interface is used for routing to 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0 network. A
few times a day this route becomes dead. The interface status is conected.
But I can't ping any machine on 192.168.1.0 network. Then I manualy
disconect VPN interface. After it is conected again - the network
192.168.1.0 becomes accessible. Why hang up VPN conection? Why it can't
automaticaly reconect?

I have the same issue on my server and have been working with Microsoft to
try and isolate the issue.

So far no luck. I get no events logs and no error messages just cannot ping
along a fully both ends connected link.

Head Office PPPoE and remotes ADSL

All was working fine under Win NT 4.0 and proxy 2.0 at all sites

We then Upgraded the headoffice to Win 2000 and ISA 2000 and things went
wrong and we have not been abale to fix it.

We can go from minutes or hours before the connection stops passing traffic.
Other connections to other sites could still be working fine even when one
connection is blocked.

Microsoft is now wanting meto remove ISA and test things to see if we can
identify if it is an ISA or RRAS problem.

Craig.
