VPN connectivity problems

I can not connect from an XP machine to a Windows 203 server usingVPN. The
dial-up connection works fine. When I attempt the VPN connection the
"verifying username and password" box comes on then I get a refused
connection.

Any help would be great

If this is a domain and the server is using RRAS VPN, the default policy
denies accesss. Check policies and/or the settings for your user account on
the Dial-in tab in AD Users and Computers.

Thanks the permissions are set to alow dial-in. Coming through a modem
works, VPN does not.
