Voice chat program for slow conenctions

Does anyone know of good voice chatting programs specially for slow
internet connections? I would believe a good program for slow
connections would be one which records a voice message while you are
pressing a button, and sends it when you release the button. This way
there will of course be some delay, but the sound will be good.

Thank you in advance

voice chat is oftenly used in yahoo msger or msn. with msn , you can
only talk to ppl in your list. if you want to talk to random ppl like
mirc but in voice chat, so far yahoo msger chat rooms is the only place
i seen. the problem with yahoo chat room, there is alot of lamers just
like in mirc that like to interfeer in ppl conversation in in a nasty
way or keep on the pressing the talk button with crap sounds or playing
heavy metal for hours so ppl wont be able to voice properly unless you
put an ignore on the user.

Whether you want to chat with friends or meet new ones, Paltalk is your
one portal to all things talkative. Paltalk is compatible with MSN,
AOL, Yahoo! and ICQ messengers, and connects you to a world of buddies.
With Paltalk's easily-navigable, voice and video enabled chat room
community, the world wide web feels more like a network of close
friends.

Thanx for your answer

However I do not think it is what I am looking for. Because my main
bottleneck is my internet connection. Therefore I would be looking for
a special software program that works like you common chat programs,
with the only difference that it records your voice message and then
sends it when you have finished recording it. In this way, you get a
delay, but you get good sound quality. I do not believe any of the
common programs such as Yahoo Messenger, MSN or PalTalk offer this. I
believe they try to create a real time chat session, and this requires
a fast internet connection. When I say slow, I mean slow like in 8
kbps.

Thanks in advance

Maybe this one.

Walkietalkie

Walkietalkie is a program which allows full duplex voice
communications over the internet. All you need is a PC or Mac and a
microphone. It is free to use and distribute. It just streams audio
between two points on the internet, there are no servers, so it
can't be regulated or taken away.
Added support for Port-Address-Translation (routers/firewalls), so
only one end needs port 51981 open, and they can just click 'answer'
to complete the connection. The port the original call came in on
will be used.
