Visual Studio 2005 Professional RTM: Where is the Configuration Manager?

Where, o where is my little "Solution Configurations" drop-down box?

I then noticed that the Configuration Manager is absent from the
Build menu. Dragging the item to the menu using "Customize"
just gives me a disabled item.

It is there in VS2003 Enterprise and VS2005 B2 Team System
(as far as I remember).

Is this feature not available in VS2005Pro? If so, what other
nasty surprises await me? Is there a *detailed* list of differences
between Pro and the Team System versions?

I do not mean the 30-bullet pages giving a rough overview
of the editions, but something that states: "yes, Configuration
Manager is not available in the Pro version".

(Note: I selected the Visual Basic configuration, but I assume
this only affects the keyboard shortcuts).

TIA,

Never mind. Found it:

In Tools->Options, select the General node under
Projects and Solutions, then check the
"Show advanced build configurations" item and
click OK.

Feeling better now.

The VB configuration is AFAIK a bad choice for the routined user of VB.NET
2002/2003. Use the VS configuration instead.

Hi,
The VB configuration is AFAIK a bad choice for the routined user of VB.NET
2002/2003. Use the VS configuration instead.

I also had the same problem, and I'd like to switch to the VS config instead
of the VB config, but can't find any way to do it. Can you point me in the
right direction?

Thanks,
Alex Clark

OK, after much hunting around I found it in the Import/Export developer
settings options, I was expecting it to be somewhere around the Start Page
like it was in 2003.

Thanks,
Alex Clark
