Visual ++ Runtime Error at startup

My friend has xp and gets this error each time he starts
his computer.

visual++ runtime library program c/program
files/symantec/shared/ccEVTMgr.exe R6025 pure virtual
function

Any insight?

It's right their in the error, Symantec. Symantec makes the Norton
products, does he have one of their products installed. He may need to
remove and reinstall it but he might want to check the Symantec web sites,
www.symantec.com and see if they have information about this error that
might help resolve it.
