Vista's WD 1.1.1505.0 vs Latest 1.1.1593.0

So, I'm currently running Vista Business with WD and it distrubs me that I'm
unable to upgrade WD to version 1593. Will there be a Vista version or are
we seriously stuck with WD 1505? I realize it's just a minor version
upgrade; however, if there are security holes patch or whatnot I would like
to be able to grab those fixes.

Hi there,

There are very few differences between the 1593 version of WD for downlevel
OS'es as the Vista version 1505. In fact, 1505 has more functionality that
leverages the new features that Vista offers, esp. various security
improvements and performance features. It's unfortunate that the version
number is confusing, but they are very nearly identical apart from extra
Vista features.

Alright, that sounds good to me. I guess whenever there are WD software
updates it'll let me know or it'll be in windows update. Thanks for the

need to update for the time being until further notice. Right?
