How do I sign up for windows mail and still keep my yahoo email address? I
get all the way through adding but after I put my user id and password it
just keeps asking me for it again and again...ready to scream!

You don't "sign up" for Windows Mail. It is just a tool.
You have to get email accounts from elsewhere.

The problem with Yahoo is that the free US-based accounts have
web-access only, which means that it won't work in a desktop
email program like Windows Mail. Yahoo has a premium option
called Mail Plus which will allow your Yahoo account to work with
desktop email programs:

Another option is called YPOPs: http://ypopsemail.com
It is free, but requires some technical knowledge to implement.
