Presuming you mean the work computer is running Vista Business or Ultimate
then the process is the same as with XP. You need to enable Remote Destkop
[RDC] on the work PC, make sure any firewall or router the computer is behind
has TCP Port 3389 forwarded or opened to the static LAN IP of the work PC and
call using the public IP of any router the work computer is behind.

Here are some basic help pages...

http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/RemoteDesktop/RDP6ConfigRecommendations.html

http://theillustratednetwork.mvps.org/RemoteDesktop/RemoteDesktopSetupandTroubleshooting.html

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/search.aspx?=&qu=remote+desktop

You might get the work network administrators to help you with this if this
is a legitimate work related need. Remember some companies have policies
against connecting an untrusted system (your home PC for example) to a
trusted system (your work PC for example). They also may require you to
connect to the work netowrk via a VPN or SSH connection.

Post back if you have further questions.

Well, I misread your original post. Sorry.

The advice is basically the same however. The only thing really different is
you would not use a VPN or SSH link to access your home Vista PC although
some folks do.

The short answer is you can't use Remote Desktop to remotely access/control a
Vista Home Premium or Basic PC. You can use something like UltraVNC or
TeamViewer as alternatives.

Good luck...
