Please take vista off the market and refund my money.
This has got to be the biggest pile of rubbish i have ever worked with
including millennium edition.

I am so wee weed off at spending 2 whole weeks trying to get a brand new hp
laptop working properly i have downgraded it to xp.

absolute rubbish, I am a consultant and have over 400 small busineses who I
support.
I WILL NEVER BE TELLING ANY OF THEM TO INSTALL THIS CRAP.

And the link you posted referred to a windows.com general discussion web version of what we see here. Not instructions about " I agree"... now go back to bed and don't get up until I tell you to.

then you got screwed.

running absolutely great on my system.

Hey, Martin, what's the name of your company and where is it?
Some people might want to use your services.

Most, however, will likely avoid you since you got a bum computer from HP
and didn't raise a stink about it to the vendor.
Your kind of consulting I can live without.

figured that "*H*ighly *P*roblematic" would drive too many customers
away.

There's your problem Sherlock - The computer on which you are trying to
install Vista is an HP
