Hi,

My dad received his Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade today, (he purchased a Fujitsu Siemens laptop shortly before it was released so has received a free upgrade).

As I don't wish to destroy his laptop, I'm turning to you for advice. Is it safe to upgrade, or is it best to leave it for now?

Cheers!

Up to you, if the Laptop, and all other peripherals are 'compatible', there should be no problem ... why break it if it ain't broken. ;)

I got my upgrade also recently, but have decided to wait at least till service pack 1 comes out in Q3.

Cheers, as it's my dads laptop I may leave it for now.

The disk we received says it's for a fujitsu siemens. Any idea if I could use it for my Dell laptop?

In a word, No!
All it does is go over you existing XP system after deleting most of your data, so make back-up's!

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself ... will a .22 go in a Colt 45? ... probably. :D
