vista taskbar question

Alexander Ross

taskbar question:

unlock the taskbar; add a new toolbar (a folder called "folder" with some
stuff in it); I drag that folder all the way to teh left (next to the start
btn) and shrink it as much as windows will allow me (so that only the word
"folder" is showing); now lock the task bar.

You'll notice that a sliver of the first item shows up ... can I fix this??
I know its not the most important thing in the world, but its uber annoying.

Have you tried "snapping" it? I don't know what it's called (but you can
get a sound effect to go along with it when you assign a sound to the event
"Show Toolbar Band", in Sounds. I use chimes.wav ;) ). That is,
double-click the re-size bar for the Toolbar you want to re-size, when the
Taskbar is unlocked. The Toolbar will expand; then re-double-clicking the
bar will compact it (rather than dragging the bar).

Hmm. I'm unable to reproduce the problem on my computer. Maybe it has to
do with the display resolution size on certain monitors. Dunno.
