Vista special folders--Documents, Music, Pictures, etc.

Hi.

I use a backup program to copy my entire Documents directory. When it does
so, it adds a time stamp to the file name, which is visible when I go into
the newly copied folder. However, when I'm in the copied folders parent
directory, I simply see "Documents" with a green icon instead of something
like "Documents 2008-07-12". How can I stop Vista from treating this folder
as a special folder? I want the proper file name to appear, not "Documents".

Thanks.

Open Folder options in the control panel and select view. The uncheck "Hide
protected operating system files". Then inside the Documents 2008-07-12 folder
delete the desktop.ini file. Recheck the "Hide..." box.

Thanks. That's perfect. I also simply set the desktop.ini to be excluded so
future backups with automatically be set.
