vista software compatiblity

Hi,

How do I find out if I have software on my pc that is not compatible with
Vista? A month or so ago I kept getting a popup message and I went through
all the steps, but did not come up with anything and now every time I sign in
to my user the screen comes up for a few seconds and then "blinks".
everything else seems to be fine - I just find the blink annoying and
concerning (it seems that it is eventually not a good thing).

TIA

Thanks, but I am not getting a UAC popup box. If this is what is causing my
screen to "blink" how do I stop it.

The original pop up box I got said something about compatibility of a
program, but I could not determ which program. How do I find out if I have a
program that is not compatible with vista.

Tx,
C

It's UAC. Google it.
