Hi,
i have installed a thirdParty Smartcard-Software. If i plugin the Smartcard
Reader - Vista recognize that and i can see the SmartCard extension for
example using Remote Desktop. But the Software has no rights to access the
reader, 'cause Viste locks the management.

Is there any usefull help? Something like a Registry Key to allow the access
from thirdparty smartcard Software?

Please send me an E-Mail to (e-mail address removed)

Thx

Hello Christoph:

Vista is a tricky little devil of an operating system. In order to gain
access [administrator rights], right click on the installer/exe file and
look for "Run As Administrator." This should let you install the software
with admin rights. Hope this helps! If I am incorrect, someone correct me.

Hi,

the Software i have installed with Administrator Right (right click - run as
admin) an in XP kompatible mode. But when i start the Software's admin
console it can't find some card reader. They are blocked by the vista
smartcard service. Someone told me that there is a registry key that allows
the access from another software than the vista cardservice.

thanks
