Help! When any screensaver kicks in, it is transparent, meaning that
see through it to the desktop, which is still up. How do I make th
desktop disappear when the screensaver turns on? As an example, when
turn on the Bubbles screensaver, bubbles bounce around on the scree
OVER the desktop, not in place of it

Are you sure it's any screen saver? On my machine the screen savers hide the
desktop, but the bubbles screen saver is designed as a transparent screen
saver.

Tyro - Jeez, you're right. I didn't realize that the sample was also
transparent. I tried two others and it works fine. I was having a
problem with the blank screen not turning on, but it seems to be
working now.

Thanks much for your help!!

Select a different screensaver.

Right-click on an empty area of the Desktop > select "Personalize" > click
on "Screen Saver" > use the drop-down list to select a different screen
saver > you can use the "Preview" button to see how it works (don't move the
mouse while doing so or you turn off the preview!) > when done selecting
click any OKs
