Please learn how to cross-post properly. Put all newsgroups headers in the
same address line instead of sending the same message separately to multiple
groups.

If that is proper for YOU, then YOU do it that way.

Otherwise, GO F**K YOURSELF!

<sigh>

Sorry if I was trying to help you by giving constructive advice. I won't
bother you again.

When you repeatedly post the same message separately to different groups,
everyone reading those groups is forced to reread it or mark it as read.
When you crosspost the message properly, marking it read in one group marks
it as read in all of them. Were you to spend a lot of time here, you would
see that it gets to be a pain when messages aren't crossposted. But, do
whatever you feel suits you.

Some people, like me, despise crossposting.
One person's reply also gets posted to all the other groups.
If your holier-than-thou dictates and attitude is "help" -- then forget it.

Not all advise is "constructive", Who decides what is "proper"?
I don't think using the down arrow key to mark a message as
read requires all that much effort.

And I have spent a lot of time in this and many, many other
newsgroups (years). And from my experience, simultaneous
crossposting is disliked by a majority of people.

If you don't like something so innocuous, why don't you just ignore it?
Was I giving anyone wrong or harmful information?

He's not nor has he ever set himself up to be. The reason for
doing it "his" way is because it's more considerate of users who
pay by the minute to connect. If you list all the newsgroups on
one line, the newsreader only has to download the message once
rather than once for each group into which it's posted. Also it
is considerate of people trying to help you. They won't waste
time answering your question if it's already been answered in
another newsgroup. If you post to newsgroups separately,
you may already have gotten an answer to your question in one
group while someone in another group spends time to try to help
you since (s)he has no way of knowing you already got help.
Most Usenet rules are not arbitrary and have evolved over
many years to their present state. You ignore the rules at your
own risk. Some people won't even try to help a person who
doesn't follow the Netiquette rules. So by breaking them,
you immediately eliminate responses from some very knowledgeable
people. Perhaps one of whom is the only person who has the
solution to your problem.

In his and your world he may be correct, but his condescending
know-it-all, false superiority, snotty, arrogant attitude is insulting
and deplorable.

"If that is proper for YOU"
It is also netiquette, a common courtesy for others.
It helps by not having to see the same post multiple times.
It also helps you read the responses since you only have to read one and you
have read them all.
But it seems by your response, courtesy is not important to you.

| Seems like time to take your meds.

What? Another infantile insult?
And now you're an MD?

<sigh> <------ infantile, isn't it?
netiquette <------another infantile term?

Yes, Miss Manners!
Too lazy to use the down arrow?

This is just too petty to be of any concern to an adult.

Mr. Rogers is the one who needs to curb his condensation, his
rudeness and his dictatorial edicts.

You do overestimate your capabilities, don't you?
Oh, what a sad, sad response.
Pathetic, indeed!

| Nope, just enough training to recognise psychotic behaviour in need of meds.

What is psychotic is some ninny trying to defend someone's
rude, condescending behavior.

My qualifications. Yours are obviously being psychotic.

The training to become a 91X is intense, comprised of many classes including
but not limited to nursing, basic medical operations, psychiatric diagnoses,
interviewing and counseling, and combat stress.

Trying to impress someone?

Another psychotic response from a twerp defending another twerp's
obnoxious behavior.

You continue to demonstrate your sadness.

"another infantile term?"
No, but your thinking it may be goes a long way to explain your discourteous
attitude.
Perhaps you should do a little research before making more incorrect
assumptions.
