I bought this computer from these folks that just moved. and they said it was
there sons and that it was a *CLEAN INSTALL* so i bought it and now i am in
the delima.the entired computer has been rebuilt with a asus motherboard and
rosewill case and amd atholon processer. but since it was a clean install the
activation was not done and when i tried the code he (the son) gave me i get
a error so it leads me to belive that the OS (vista ultimate) is a jacked
version so i installed win xp on here in a seprate partion so what can i do?
can i remove vista?

There's 2 things you could try.

If you believe it's a legal copy, ring or e-mail MS, & see if they can help.

If not, why not reformat the drive to get rid of it, & go back to XP? to be
honest, although I've only had my new PC a few days, & it came installed with
Vista, I can't really give a compelling reason to upgrade. It seems to be all
flash & nannying you through every process (heck, I even got 2 messages
asking for administrator permission to move a shortcut in my menu!! I'm still
trying to find out how to turn it off) & not much substance/improvement.
