Vista Mixer faders

Vista's mixer seems to create a new fader for just about any app or web page
that contains audio. I would like to have ONE volume setting for anywhere I
go in IE7... BUT Vista creates a NEW fader for every new page I go to and
defaults it to MAX volume. This is very annoying.

Details:
The new faders are always set to the same level as the master fader. I need
to keep the master relatively high for a couple of applications that need
LOUD audio but I don't want EVERYTHING to default to this same level.
I would like ONE setting for all IE7 pages.
Other than that I do like the ability to set audio levels for individual
programs.

And the "Windows Sounds" fader will NOT remember its position. Randomly
resets itself to max level.
