Vista keyboard not working

Frank

A few months ago I bought a CPQ laptop with Vista. I have been
using it as my primary computer but I can't type very well with a
laptop so I got a key board to use with a usb plug-in.

I recently decided I wanted to carry it to the library with me. My
problem is some of the keys will not type letters but give me the
numbers instead.

I have no idea what has gone wrong over the winter. It has not been
dropped or damaged in any way. There is only one possibility I can
think of. I use to use the free download program "CapsUnlock" on my
XP. So I installed it on my Vista. When I realized the keys
weren't working, I uninstalled CapsUnlock, but it didn't make any
difference.

This is my alphabet -- abcdefgh51230n6*qrst4vwxyz

My numbers are -- 123456789/

Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at the function keys. You probably accidentally clicked a
combination of "Fn" and a function key to make parts of the regular
keyboard appear as a numeric keyboard. If you can't locate the
key-combination check the manual as I am pretty sure that is your
problem.
