Vista & Frontpage 2000 compatibility?

I upgraded my OS to Vista (clean install) and then loaded my Frontpage 2K. I
then opened my website like I always do and attempted to import to the
website a large mp3 file (approx. 30MB--a sermon). After a consierable length
of time I am receiving a 500 Internal Server error. The file shows up in the
folder, but there are 0 bytes in the properties. I contacted my hosting
company and they re-installed my Frontpage extensions, but the same thing
happened after that. This problem did not happen when I was running Windows
XP and Frontpage 2K. Does anyone know of a compatibility issue with Vista and
Frontpage 2K?

Please dump that rubbish and upgrade to Dreamweaver, or at least Microsoft
Expression Web Designer, which has replaced FrontPage (free trials for
both).

Elder - This doesn't answer you question, but are you aware of Expression
Web, the replacement for FrontPage. I've been fooling with the trial copy a
bit, and think it's pretty neat. It doesn't use extensions. Several NG's are
supporting the Expression package . . here's the 'Web' one,
Microsoft.public.expression.webdesigner . . Good luck solving your problem,
and delivering your sermon :) - IM

I actually did download a trial version of MS Web Expression and the same
thing happened. If I try the Dreamweaver, it will mess up my Frontpage
extensions and the work already completed on the website. Thank you though.

Thanks Imageman. I also tried the Expression Web (while I was waiting for
some help from above :)) and the same thing happened. I am not sure what is
happening.

I only know Dreamweaver, and have not used FrontPage extensions, but I have
read about what they can do. If you download the website onto your PC and
edit it offline, you can fix and replace the things that these extensions
can do. What functions are you using?
