I am using Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1. Have just gone through a
long process of cutting and pasting many pictures from one location to
another, trying to get more organized. When I got well into this and checked
my progress, lo and behold, many of my folders were empty. (I did have a
backup, but I have no idea what caused me to have so many empty folders.)
Before I get back into this project I sure would like to know what I did
wrong.

Can someone PLEASE tell me? Thanks in advance for any advise.

Hard to tell.

Word of advice: don't cut-and-paste. COPY-and-paste. Then when
you're sure you got things where you want them, delete what you don't
want.

Same goes for using the right-click "move to" and "copy to" items.

Use "copy to".

Thanks Mike, That sounds like a logical solution. Sure appreciate it.
