Vista 64 and IE7 problem

Hi all I just did a clean install of Vista 64 Home Premium and have run into
a strange problem. I cannot log in to the XFX Support website using either 32
or 64 bit IE7 on the Vista machine. I can log in fine using an XP machine.
Further when I tried to fill in the form to d/l the office 2007 trial version
so I could import my mail folder from my backup disk into Vista Mail the form
would reset everytime I selected the US as my country (was my only option, I
assume since I had already input my state). In Firefox the form would appear
to reload when I chose US but would keep everything I'd typed in as well as
saving that I chose US. IE7 just wiped out all the text boxes and reset the
country to choose country.

Needless to say since it blanked the form every time I couldn't get the
trial initially. I've somewhat bypassed the problem by installing and using
Firefox 3 which is not having either of these problems.

The install was a clean install with nothing more than Vista, drivers and
updates installed.

Any ideas?

P.S. I tried the IE7 group but they seemed to think I should post in the
Vista groups

Work with the most comfortable web browser, e.g. your favorite firefox
3. Internet options of MSIE 7 has advanced features that doesn't have
in MSIE 6 sp1, check it out with google search.

Firefox isn't my favorite. Even with all its problems I've always used IE. I
used IE7 in XP and these sites DO NOT have the problem in IE7 on XP so what
in Vista/IE7 do I need to do to make the sites work? I mean come on even an
MS site is messing up. I have googled this problem and read anything related
to problems with IE 7 and haven't found an answer yet.

I've tried resetting IE 7 I've checked with the scf /scannow thing as found
in another thread. It still refuses to load the XFX page when I try to log in
and just resets the log in page and still wipes out the form for outlook
2007. I wasn't sure about Vista but heard so many good things about it now
that SP1 is out I decided to give it a shot for my new build.

Anyone that can actually tell me what setting I am overlooking please let me
know where it is.

Thanks

Have you tried running IE with no add-ons?

Yeah I fixed it by giving up and reformatting, deleting the
partition, recreating the partition and then reinstalling Vista. Did
everything the same as before but this time it all works so something must of
somehow been corrupted.
