VISTA & 2003 SERVER

Simple question - will Vista Home Edition connect to a 2003 Server or is it
not possible like the difference between XP - Pro and XP - Home?

What Microsoft Web Site can I show for the findings?

(I have a client who wants to connect Vista Home to a network and I told him
it is not possible)

Hi,

Vista Home cannot join a domain, that does not mean it cannot connect to a
server. It is pretty much the same as the difference between XP Pro/Home.
You need Vista Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise to be able to join a
domain.

Vista Home Edition can "connect to a server" or "connect to a network" just
fine, the same as all other versions of Windows can. But it, like Windows
XP Home Edition, cannot join a domain. Nonetheless, even on a domain it
still can access network resources, shared folders and files, printers, and
so on.
