I am having a twofold problem I desperately need help
with, the first was a box warning me of a virus...the
message as follows :Virus located>startpage 4.APC:\SYSTEM
VOLUME INFORMATION\_RESTORE{OC36C812-OBD4660-87A9-
6D837CC6COD6}-\RP217\A0016628..despite searching with two
anti viral programmes McAffee and AVG nothing can be
located regards a virus yet the message keeps appearing
on screen.
The second problem is a second virus found at >MSVSRES.DLL
yet I cannot access this file, it says access denied, can
someone help me to sort out these problems

Turn off system restore and reboot to remove the one from system
volume information. It will remove all restore points. be sure to turn
it back on. For the MSVSRES.DLL some info here..

Your virus is located in your restore vault, which no virus checker can
access. You need to disable the restore facilty, wipe out the existing
restore file, and then re-enable restore. (Google for how to do this if you
never have)

I had the same problem TODAY. This fixed it.
