Virus Software

We have a Windows 2000 Server, (everything is for 2000
professional) I have been unable to find a virus detecting
software that will work with our server. Is there one and
if so what is the name of it?

F-Prot runs on Win2000 servers, workstations, DC, doesn't
care.

It is so inexpensive as to be practically free $40 for 20 licenses.

(They apparenlty make their money by selling volume to big
companies and sell at low prices to get Admins on their side
through personal and home use.)

It catches virus on our email server with no explicit setup (in
the email server.) Updates itself with no interference in our
work -- just works.

Pardon my asking but have you actually gone to the homepages of ANY
antivirus software vendors? Just about ALL of them have software that runs
on windows 2000 server if you go to their homepage and click on products (or
similar) and look at what is on offer.

Some versions of Norton Antivirus 2001 work just fine on 2K Server. When I
bought my Dell Inspiron 2.5 years ago, it came with 2K Professional and an
OEM version of Norton AV2001. When I reconfigured the Inspiron to run 2K
Advanced Server (I do heavy IIS & COM development), Norton installed & ran
just fine.

Look into Trend Micro's NeatSuite. ServerProtect for the server, ScanMail
for Exchange, Officescan for the workstations. Very good stuff - the only
server-based AV software I'll use.
