Please help. When sending an email -- the recipient of my email receives my
msg but also additonal txt in the body of my email that directs them to go to
the
following site http://www.counter-forver.cn

I don't know how this happened or why, but i'm trying to find a solution.
I've updated my symantec to the latest, did the scan but nothing was detected.

Perhaps you have an advert bug (Malware/Spyware) which has invaded you email
program. You did not specify which Outlook version you use.

Counter-forever.cn is a chinese jump page for a Domain Name seach site
called DomainTools. How this came to be in your outbound emails is any one's
guess.

Two suggestions: get Adaware from Lavasoft and/or Spybot and search your
computer for spyware/adverts.

Seondly, make sure you have no signature. Try the Options item from the
Tools menu. In the options window it may be under the mail Format tab, a
button labelled Signature. Delete anything you do not like.

Hope this helps.

All good suggestions. I don't use Symantec myself but does it have a
boot-time scan option? If not, get yourself a copy of Avast Home antivirus
(which is free), which does.

guys, thanks for the suggestions. I have outlook 2003 -- i did check my
signature to see if this msg is listed there and it isn't. i'm about to use
the lavasoft suggestion so hopefully that will work. i will let you know.

i believe the file is called outlook.exe that this website is trying to
(add-on)..however it says it's from microsoft which is obviously incorrect
--so i'm doubtful that the name of the file is correct --

thanks!

Good to hear. I bet you were surprised with all the 'bugs' Adaware found.
Thye are turely more annoying and prevelant than viruses.
