Virus help

Running xp and have two viruses. McAfee scanner says it cannot delete the
files - access denied.
system32\dskcompat.exe\DSKCOMPAT.EXE has downloader-GP virus
system32\olehelp.exe\OLEHELP.EXE hasStartPage-AL virus

Should I just find and delete these files. And if so, where do I find good
copies of the files if I can not locate the system disk?

Hi,

They are both viruses, delete them without regret. You may find it easier to
restart the system in safe mode before attempting to do so.
