Virus - Help Needed

Hi Folks,
A strange virus infected my computer. I tried NAV, NOD32, AVG and AVP and
none of them worked. I also tried Ad-Aware and Tds-3 without success. Here
are the symptoms:
1) NAV 2004 disabled
2) Microsoft word loaded on startup, instead of the selected aplications
3) Microsoft word loaded whenever you double click on a icon.
4) Computer extremely slow, always crashing.
5) Internet and local network disabled.

What can I do?

I don't know if this would work. Boot into DOS and run C:\>scanreg /restore
There should be about 5 previously known good registries to choose from.
If you don't have access to another computer, you can go to Kinkos and
download the fix to a floppy, once someone determines what it is you have.

If you're on XP how do you boot into DOS?

Sorry you can't.

The best you can do is to open up a command window. Your other alternative
would be to obtain a DOS boot disk (www.bootdisk.com is a good place to
download DOS boot disks) and boot from that - but if your disk is formatted
NTFS then you won't be able to read or update it. (There is a utility from
sysinternals.com that will let you read an NTFS disk but you have to pay for
the version that lets you write to files.)
