Virtual PC2007 and installing Norton Anti-Virus

I have been trying for days to succesfully install first Norton Internet
security 2007 and now Nortain Anti-Virus in a Windows XP Pro Virtual PC
running on my Vista Ultimate system. I gave up on the Internet Security
suite and I am just about to with NAV as well. The install takes about 12
hours and then Live Update just hangs or gives an error message in the end.

My system is a 3.2ghz intel, 3 gigs of ram, plenty of disk space. The
virtual PC has 1gig of ram allocated. The only software installed so far in
the virtual pc is Win XP Pro.

Has anyone had success installing NAV in a virtual PC? Are there any
special steps you needed to take?

Thanks for any help. Pretty fed up here.

Many of us regard Norton as evil, and opt instead for another solution. Have
you asked their tech support about this issue?

Norton is a major resource hog on any computer. Get Avast or AVG Free. You
will be happier.
