I have a PC with 2HDD running with separate XP-platforms.Reason?To keep
everybody of the family happy (children games; us parents to keep our files
safe).Anyway, that is what we thought! We running legal XP windows and NIS2006
(Norton sec).
For some reason or the other it was possible to check the files from B when
working on platform A and opposite. At that point we it didn't bother.
Our sons installed some program winVNC and can work or connect to our home
PC.
Maby a stupid question: How can we secure both platforms from each other?
Thanks in advance

Firewall, close the ports, make everyone except you a regular user on the
machines (no more random installs) and use good/strong passwords. Also, set
the system BIOS to have a password (so you cannot change it without it) and
change the boot sequence to hard disk drive first. May even go as far as to
"seal" the computer case with a padlock.
