virtual memory

I have a document that I want to save on another computer on our network. When I go to save as and navigate to that computer I get an error saying that 'word has insufficient memory, would you like to save as rescued document 1".
Do you know why word would do this, no one else has this problem and it only happens when I try to save docuemnts through word, I can save them to my hard drive then copy them on the other computer fine, it's just inconvienient.

G'day Ian <[email protected]>,

This is a known side-effect of the way Word deals with open files.
Slow I/O, such as floppy/CD or network, can cause problems with open
files. You would need to have your net admin reduce conflicts,
collisions and general lag. Defrag the target disk too.
