Virtual Memory Too Low

I keep receiving an error message that says "the virtual
memory is too low...windows will configure the virtual
memory size....". It pops up when I log on my computer
every few days. What does this mean? Why does this
happen? How can I prevent from receiving this error
message again?

Start-right click on my computer-properties-advance tab-

in performance box click the settings button-advance tab
again-under virtual memory click change button-put the
bullet in system managed size-apply-OK-OK reboot your
computer for change to take effect.
