Hey, just a quick one...

I'm running a P4 3.0 with 3G RAM, yes, silly, I know. I'm wondering what virtual memory settings I should have for 'Initial Size' and 'Maximum Size' and how big my paging file should be? I'm running at 2300/4600 min/max at the moment and I'm getting mesages from nview desktop manager saying there's not enough memory to run all the applications I'm using..... I changed them and forgot the default :(....

I do a fair bit of video editing and also like plenty of applications open at one time.....

Any help much appreciated...

Simple answer ... let Windows manage it. ;)

I've always found windows does a good job of managing page files in XP, but what does help is to make sure that if you have more than one drive the page file operates from the one without windows running from it :)
