Virtual memory paging file changed, XP ignores

Shari

When I boot, I'm getting an error that states there is no
paging file or it is too small. I went into Windows System
and boosted the file. I has the correct numbers listed in
the box at the top but at the bottom where it states
currently allocated, it still states "0". When I reboot as
directed, same error. The numbers are still allocated but
ignored. The allocation Windows is listing at the bottom,
instead is 2 mb min and 766 max.

HELP!!! I can't find anyplace in the knowledge data base
that has this error.

Try again! There are several articles discussing this in the "knowledge
base".

See MVP Alex Nichol's article on Virtual Memory in Windows XP at

problems.

Good luck
