virtual memory minimun too low

every time i start my computer after 5 mins i get a message "virtual memory
minimun too low" pop up near the clock in the bottom right corner even if im
just surfing the internet.... i have hardly any programs startup when windows
starts and have ran norton antivirus, mcafee antivirus and adaware6 and found
nothing....i have a P4 2.6 with 512mb of memory... i have had this problem
for a while and any help would be appreciated

The OP asked about "minimum" being too low but you seem to have
assumed meant "maximum"?
I see no reference at the link to min being too low. Did you
just make an assumption without saying so?

I'm curious as to whether min too low is a real possibility; I
don't think it is, but ... famouse last words.

Min too low is certainly a possibility, though the message given is
usually simply 'VM too low and is being increased'. But do not trust
messages as quoted in posts here too far. The Problems section there
would cover either min or max being too low. This sounds to me most
likely to be the one caused by problems in Symantec Live update and the
recent versions of NAV
