Viewing Movie on Television

I was able to transfer my movie to a CD-R with no problem. However, when I
put it in the DVD player to view on television, It only showed files that I
could not open. It can be vied with no problem on my computer. Is there a way
for it to be viewed on television? If so, please tell me word for word as I
am not very good at this.

the discs made by Movie Maker are for playback on computers.... as DVD
players can't handle the WMV files on them.

to make one for your DVD player, you need to use other DVD making
software.... see the Making DVDs section of my website for a little info.

I did go to your site and check out information. To make sure I understand:
If I get Roxio version 7, then I can make a DVD that I can view on
television----right? Or do you have another you prefer?

I don't test all the DVD software, and currently use Sonic's MyDVD v6.1 and
Roxio's MyDVD Premier 8...

as a rule of thumb, any of today's DVD software will work, but some work
better with the WMV movies and stories, and DV-AVI type I files than
others... the comments about Roxio's software that I have on my site read
pretty positive.
