Viewing .jpg files

Hi,
To view 10 .jpg files - when I select all of them and
enter the files are opened in a fresh browser. So there
are 10 separate windows. I have done this before upgrading
my OS in Aug and clearly remember that the files would
open in one window and then I used to use the "back"
& "forward" icons in the tool bar to view the files. Is
there any setting that can enable viewing of multiple
files in the same window.
